Corrective Actions

1.

Check charge of battery: Running the vehicle excessively with low battery voltage while towing a heavy load can cause the motor to overheat and make Code F18003 appear. Check the battery's charge (recharge if needed) and allow the motor to cool down to normal operating temperature before restarting the vehicle.

Type of environment during use: Functionality of your vehicle can vary depending on what kind of environment you are trying to operate in. In this case, you will need to turn your vehicle off and allow the motor to cool down to normal operating temperature before restarting the vehicle.

4.

Brake system: If you're in a situation where your brakes are failing to disengage properly, this can cause excessive heat to the motor. Make sure your brakes are being used correctly upon usage of the vehicle to ensure acceptable motor temperature.

5.

Load Capacities: Using your vehicle to transport excessively heavy loads can make Code F18003 appear. In this case, you will need to turn off the vehicle and allow the motor to cool down to normal operating temperature before restarting your vehicle for use.
